Stylist Feature: Sierra Harrison
Get to know your Live Love Lash stylist better! This month we are featuring Xtreme Lashes® Master Lash Stylist, Sierra Harrison.
Sierra graduated in 2011 from Colorado Mesa University with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, emphasis in Exercise Science. During her years in western Colorado, Sierra worked as a receptionist at a salon in Grand Junction, which inspired her decision to become an esthetician.
Sierra, her husband and their two dogs moved to Denver in August 2013 for her to attend the College of International Esthetics (CIE). However, she knew her services would not end there – Sierra’s experience at the previous salon had introduced her to eyelash extensions. She knew that she wanted eyelash extensions to be a big part of what she would offer her clients, which is what brought her to Live Love Lash. She also offers waxing, spray tanning, and makeup application.
#1 What’s the one beauty product you can’t live without?
When I’m traveling I always have to have my Xtreme Lashes® Eye Makeup Remover and Facial Cleanser, not only does it remove makeup safely from your eye area and eyelash extensions, but it doubles as a great cleanser for your whole face! I also always have my Glo Minerals Contour Kit because in addition to contouring, I can use all of the colors as eyeshadows…. It’s all about multitasking products when traveling, so I don’t have to bring more than I need!!!

Outgoing, ambitious, sarcastic 🙂
#5 What do you think is the biggest misconception about lashes?
I think there are two. The first is that they damage your lashes, which is absolutely NOT true, if they’re applied properly. When lash stylists do sub par work and let their clients leave with their extensions stuck together, then damage can happen to the natural lash. Here at live love lash, all of our stylists ensure that clients leave with no sticking, which means no damage!! The second misconception is that if you receive eyelash extensions, you’re automatically going to look like Kim Kardashian…. Which is not true. Live love lash has many different lengths, thicknesses, and curvatures so that your eyelash extensions are customized to your preferences, lifestyle, and eye shape… Everything from natural up to Kim K.
#6 When you’re having a bad day, how do you unwind and relax?
Workout…. Either lift weights, take a spin class or take a dance class at my favorite place…. Tease Studio!!
#7 If you could give one piece of advice to someone starting their lash career, what would it be?
Practice every day!! To be a great lash artist takes a lot of practice and you can’t be good by only doing it once a week, especially starting out. So much of the application process is about feeling comfortable with your hands and having the tweezers be extensions of your fingers, so it can take some time for that to not feel awkward. That’s why I recommend practicing at least everyday!
