The Procedure
There are many benefits to waxing versus other forms of hair removal. It is an effective method to remove large amounts of hair at one time. It is a long-lasting method. Hair in waxed areas will not grow back for two to eight weeks. When hair is shaved or removed by depilatory cream, the hair is removed at the surface rather than the root. Within a few days, the hair can be seen at the surface. With these methods, hair tends to grow back in a rough stubble. Areas that are repeatedly waxed over long periods of time often exhibit regrowth that is softer.
A potential drawback of waxing is that some people experience ingrown hairs, red bumps, and minor bleeding. This is more likely to occur when waxing areas with thick hair, especially the first few times when follicles are strongest. This effect is greatly reduced by the proprietary blend of waxes used at Live Love Lash.
Before Your Appointment
Prior to your treatment allow body hair to grow for 5-7 days to a 1/4″ length before your appointment. Please advise your esthetician of any medications you are taking that could cause photo sensitivity (RetinA, Accutane, etc). Pricing is subject to change at esthetician’s discretion under certain circumstances. If necessary, changes will be discussed prior to treatments.

Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a safe and simple solution for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair, or “peach fuzz”. It’s a great exfoliation option for sensitive skin or those with allergies or sensitivities to chemical peels.
The treatment provider uses a sterile surgical blade and light feathering strokes to gently abrade the surface of the skin. Dead skin and unwanted fine facial hair are both removed. While this may sound a little intimidating, the reality is that the procedure is very safe when performed by an experienced professional. It is, however, only recommended for treating the face and doesn’t include the nose, neck or décolleté.
Dermaplaning is appropriate for all skin types except those with acne and is a great solution for anyone who wants to not only exfoliate their skin, but also get rid of that annoying peach fuzz. Afterwards your skin will be noticeably healthier and your makeup will go on more smoothly than ever before.
Your homecare products will also be much more effective following your Dermaplaning treatment because eliminating the dirt, oil and dead skin will allow your skin to absorb the products much better. It’s also a very common practice to use Dermaplaning to prepare your skin for treatments like chemical peels, IPL PhotoFacials and HydraFacials as the skin will respond much better to those treatments.
