It’s always important to take good care of your hair, especially during the summer months! The sun and the pool/ocean can be very damaging to your hair and scalp. All you need to do is make one trip to the grocery store, and you’re ready to restore your hair’s natural moisture and shine.

Honey and Olive Oil Mask for Dry Hair

You’re probably thinking honey? No way I’m putting that in my hair! Honey has restorative properties that add moisture back into dry damaged hair, and olive oil acts as a natural conditioner for the hair. You will need 4 tablespoons of honey and 6 tablespoons of olive oil. Double for extra long or thick hair. Apply from roots to end and let sit for 15-30 min. Cover with plastic bag for best results. Rinse with warm water then wash and condition as normal. Repeat once a week!

Coconut Oil Mask for Dry, Dull and Damaged Hair

The wonders of coconut oil: rich in fatty acids, proteins, vitamins b and c, potassium, iron, and zinc! Not only is it amazing to cook with, but it makes for the best hair mask! Coconut oil makes your hair feel amazingly soft and super shiny! Heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil in the microwave for a few seconds to soften. Massage into your scalp and apply from root to ends. Use sparingly if you have very thin/fine hair. Wrap your hair with a warm towel and leave on for 30-45 mins. Wash and condition as usual.

Creamy Avocado Mask for Lifeless, Dry Hair

Accidentally let one of your avocados get over ripe on the counter? No worries, you don’t have to throw it out! This mask is simple and easy. Avocados are rich in anti-oxidants, making them one of nature’s perfect foods. Its oils and proteins help to revitalize dull, lifeless hair without weighing it down. You will need 1 small over ripe avocado, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and ¼ cup milk. Blend the avocado to a puree like texture. Add milk and oil, mix well. Apply from roots to end of hair. Cover with a shower cap and leave on for 30-45 mins. Rinse with warm water. No need to shampoo or condition!
