Hey Beauty Babes! There are so many makeup brushes out there, it’s enough to make anyone feel a little intimidated. So which brushes do we absolutely NEED? Beautiful makeup is as much about the tools you use as it is about the products you are applying. Yes they can get a little pricey, but I promise the results will be totally worth the money!

#1 Foundation Brush– This brush is perfect for those of us who use a full coverage liquid foundation. Apply foundation onto brush and apply in circular motions. Do not drag brush across face as it will leave streaks. This brush will ensure a flawless foundation application

#2 Powder Brush– It’s time to ditch the weird sponge that comes with your powder foundation! A powder brush is a makeup bag staple, allowing you to set foundation and sweep away extra makeup without ruining your carefully applied look. Use a large powder brush to set your foundation so that it will stay all day! Apply powder in a circular motion.

#3 Blush Brush– Throw out the flat blush brush you’ve been using– You need something fluffy for a perfect blush application! Once you find the right blush brush, it does it all.

#4 Eye Base Brush– Use this brush to apply eyeshadow starting from inside of the eyelid as far as the brow bone

#5 Eye Blender Brush– This brush is for all over blending or applying shadow on the entire eyelid. This brush will quickly become your favorite because your eyeshadow will always look perfectly blended. Apply eyeshadow in a circular motion to help soften lines.

#6 Angled Brush– An angled brush can be used for eyeliner, filling in your brows, or applying eyeshadow.

#7 Contour Highlight Brush– While this brush isn’t a must have– It’s nice to have especially if you are into contouring! Choose the round end to softly apply, blend and diffuse product and the tapered end for more defined placement and precise application.

ALWAYS remember to clean your brushes after every makeup application to avoid bacteria that can cause breakouts. Use a makeup brush cleanser to clean your brushes properly. Glo Minerals Brush Cleaner is an alcohol based cleaner formulated to help diminish bacteria and condition natural and synthetic brushes. The formulation also contains antibacterial botanical extracts including Lavender and Eucalyptus that condition as they cleanse.
